I have always wanted to be able to go back in time, especially to the 1920s. The Jazz Age is my favorite time period in history. In fact, my NaNoWriMo novel for this year will be set during that time period.
Recently, I was inspired to write a series of short stories (possibly for self-publication?) based on the question “Who would you have dinner with, living or dead, if the opportunity arose?” Personally, I have a few people in mind, including Sylvia Plath and F. Scott Fitzgerald. After talking with some people and thinking about it for a few days, I have decided to bring the famous (or infamous) people to modern times, to see how they would react to modern technology, modern government and other aspects of the world today.
I would like your input as well. My readers and their comments contribute to my inspiration in a big way. So, if you wouldn’t mind answering a few questions, I’d really appreciate it.
1. Who would you invite to dinner?
2. What sort of situations would you like to see that person, or those people, placed in?
